Well I'm glad to see that the attendance at the Board of Directors meetings have gotten better. Maybe it's because we started posting the names of the reps who failed to show up. Those of you who take the time to represent us, thank you!

Charlie, we really appreciate your great attendance this year!

Rich, maybe you need to step down and make room for someone who can commit to the position.

PBA,

What are you doing for the guys on the current list/s who you have been told time and time again, "...oh you will get promoted don't worry about it.."

We turn to you to represent our interests, but we still have not gotten any legitimate answers about the lack of promotions, current number of openings, list expiration issues etc.

Can someone from the PBA please help us out?

Sorry...I couldn't read the issue because there were to many photos of Kaz. It makes my blood pressure rise to unsafe levels.

One basic fundamental of leadership is to keep your subordinates informed, so can any one explain to me why the membership has to beg and plead for information on "any" issue. There should be some from of updates and notifications that are routinely published preferably by e-mail when issues arise. The current leadership has failed and a large number of the membership have no faith or confidence in their ability. One example is the fact that we all know there are promotions available to be made, yet the slots are not being filled. The promotion quotas are a numbers game just like the bean counters play with money in the finance department. But the failure is in the fact that the PBA does not challenge or "attempt" to negotiate this issue and formally request that if slots are available, then the promotion should be made. Second fact, Kaz sat by and many career deputies almost had their future step raises obliterated without negotiation or challenge when a certain captain decided to modify the career deputy edicational requirements; never-mid and ignore the facts of how this same captain rose through the ranks. There was not so much as a whisper related to this issue. Third, several inquiries have been made into the spending practices of the PBA leaders and requests have been made to view the expenses. Again and again the leadership has flat out refused to address these concerns with not so much as a simple response to the repeated inquiries. Then there are the issues related to how grievances are addressed. How can Kaz with no legal level of education or qualifications decide on what grievances are going to be fought for. How can Kaz allow the Kernel to modify, intervene, interfere and influence IA as well as grievance issues without challenging this? And how can the Kaz just sit there and allow politics, nepotism and special interest hiring practices to still take place by the same person? Give me one reasonable excuse or justification for the above activities to be taking place and why a golf tournament or PBA conference trip has more reporting and updates than any one of the above issues. Keeping the troops informed and showing that you are an advocate of their interests before you own cultivates loyalty and respect and ultimately keeps rumors and harmful hearsay to a minimum. If our PBA rep's can't do everything to make every meeting, then they are clearly acting for their own selfish interests and not willing to sacrifice and put time in as a responsible, mature and dedicated elected official. The current leadership has developed the same condescending, arrogant, know-it-all, mean spirited leadership that got the Republicans decimated in the last election. Exploitation will be tolerated only as long as the favors, hand outs and free-bee's are extended. Furthermore, there is a reason in democratic countries why term-limits were created. The term limits were created so certain exploitations, manipulations and offenses would not become an everyday practice. Revolution is in our blood, folks, so maybe it's about time for a changing of the guard in the PBA's leadership.
