DISPATCHERS CERTIFICATION?

Since the dispatcher is the life line of the officer/deputy on the line, why aren't they required to have a state certification? The training for diapatchers does not have to be as long as law enforcement but should be developed to improve thier performance and accountability. I guess you can tell that I have had bad experiences with some dispatchers, but I do not blame them individually, I blame the trainer. I also blame the department that continues to allow dispatchers to be trained improperly. If dispatcher training and certification is in the works please let me know. If FDLE was in charge with dispatcher certification and training as they are law enforcement it may be departments would take the continued education more seriously.
