Does Monroe have a reserve officer program?

Yes. Call 305-296-2424. Ask for Human resources, and get an app. There are three levels of reserves :

Reserve 1 Is a certified, FTO'd Deputy Sheriff capable of checking out a cruiser and going to work, under the supervisor on-duty.
Reserve 2 Has gone to the Reserve Academy and is qualified to ride with a Deputy Sheriff, under his / her span of control on calls.
Reserve 3 Has passed the background check and is able to ride along with a Deputy Sheriff.
