This is a highly responsible position with the City of Miami Gardens that involves networking with the community and the protection of life and property. This is accomplished through patrol work, criminal investigation, community policing, code enforcement responsibilities and enforcement of the laws of the State of Florida and the Ordinances of the City of Miami Gardens. Assignments may typically involve routine motor patrol, bicycle or foot patrol, or criminal investigations. Officers receive assignments and instructions from police officers of a higher rank and perform work in accordance with Department policies and standard operating procedures. Salary Hire-In Rates
Police Officer I: $46,002 - $66,808
Police Officer II: $49,682 - $72,152
Police Officer III: $53,657 - $77,924
Salary Hire-In rate will be determined based on years in Grade as an Officer and education attained. Actual offer will be determined by the City's Human Resources Department after a thorough review of an applicant's file.

This is a highly responsible position with the City of Miami Gardens Police Department that involves the supervision, training and scheduling of non-sworn Crime Scene Investigation personnel. The CSI Supervisor will oversee daily operations, assist administrative, purchasing and budgeting functions and perform service calls for the City of Miami Gardens Crime Scene Investigations Unit. The CSI Supervisor supervises staff, delegates assignments, implements field staff work schedules, assists in recruitment/testing/hiring activities, evaluates employees and oversees and provides forensic training to Officers and staff. The purpose of the position is to provide support for all areas of the police department. This position is responsible for the labeling, storage, and transportation of all evidence to the crime lab and the maintenance and storage of all department equipment. Performs related work as directed.
An employee in this classification will participate and coordinate activities within the Property Unit. This position is not of a routine, clerical or ministerial nature and requires the exercise of independent judgment.
