Work shift.

I'm planning on transferring to the department. What is the workshift rotation? 12 hour shift? 8 hour shift? And on what days.? Any OT? Any Off-Duty?

12 hour shifts. Every other weekend off. No OT! You will be lucky to get an off duty detail! Why would you transfer here?? Haven't you read any of these posts? Hahah, Good luck to ya buddy!

3 on = 36HRS @ 12hour workday
4 on = 48HRS @ 12hour workday

One week you work wed, thurs, 12hrs each day. =24hrs
The next week, your long week, you would work mon, tues 12 hrs each, =24 hrs, wed, thurs would be your off days, then you would work fri, sat, sun, 12 hrs each day = 36hrs.

Every other weekend you have off.... Some overtime but to be honest it is few and far between. Off duty detail are there, then just come in spurts, you will be able to work them though. Don't listen to the BS on this site, there are some folks that are upset, but that is any where you go... We welcome you here anytime. Good luck.... :mrgreen:
