I don't want to "rain on your parade", but judging from your post and your piss poor attitude Its quite clear that you're not a police officer "yet", and although being ****y might come with the job after a few years on the force, you might want to tone it down a bit until you prove yourself, and I most certainly hope this "holier than though attitude" doesn't get brought with you into the accademy because I've seen many like you get booted within the first few weeks.

By the way, these forums might be anonymous, but its quite easy for your prospective employers can pretty much narrow down exactly who you are since you've pretty much given away the fact that you were in the first group (or "one of the best and most wanted" as you would put it.

Don't take this the wrong way - just some friendly advice from an observer who happened accross this departments section.

Way to show your true colors - Regu-ass-lator - it's quite clear that you are exactly as described by old bob so just drop the attitude and quit/shut stop running your mouth while your ahead.

First off you all need to relax, and not that I need to explain myself BUT there are 14 of you who are in the process for this round of applicants, and yes we did interview the 1st five candidates, however all candidates are on an even playing field no one has anything over the other, there is no way for us to do all of the interviews in one day. The selections were done in particular order other than who's file was completed first. So, like I said before RELAX you all will be given an opportunity to interview for the job. Oh and by the way read what Old Bob is saying he is 100% right. --Ofc. R.B.

When should we expect to wrap the rest of the oral boards up? Judging by previous posts it is clear that I am not the only one who would appreciate a better idea of what is going on and what to prepare for. The lack of communication with the applicants and the unorganization of this hiring process is not very professional. :shock:

I can hardly wait to get my car and uniform, I am part of the New Breed of Police Officer who will carry this agency into the next couple of decades. I am in the first group so there is no worry. When I did my walk through I saw a lot of things that need changing. Soon enough I will rise through the ranks and really straighten things out. A good fitness program is in order also, I'm sure everyone knows what I mean. I can outline one. I will just keep my mouth shut the first few months and play the game then I will get down to business. All that old Dead Wood out there, you better be on your toes. See ya on the streets.

Sorry to say but I'm here and I'm here to stay. Ever hear of a thing called confidence? I have more than I need so if you ask nicely I will give you some. All kidding aside I see some very serious deficiencies, nothing that cant be corrected though. I always like a challenge so thats why I chose to work here, notice I say "I chose" rather than "You hired me. With my background and experience I pretty much could of gone anywhere but I decided upon this agency. I know it needs a lot of work but like I said I always like a challenge. My plan is to go on FTO and get a feel for the job then I will get down to business and start oulining some areas where change is needed. You guys think I may just be a ****y know-it-all but in time you will be thanking me for my contributions. In high school I was class valedictorion and carried a 3.8 GPA throughout my years. I turned down a few scholarships to major universities. Some might ask why, but that is my business. I know I will make an immediate impact, thats just my style. I have always been a winner and this job will be no exception. All I can say at this time is wait and see then after a while it will be "See, I told you so". So, guys and gals, it will be a pleasure to work with you all and anyone who needs anything just ask, I have no problem helping anyone out. I feel when one is gifted, as I am, it is his obligation to give back.

So in a short while thats where I will be, on top. I see something already that needs to be addressed, you have the person in charge of hiring posting on this board. I admit this is a good forum and a lot of information is exchanged but the hiring person should not be posting here. I would suggest a complete overhaul of the hiring process. I had to wait and go through a lot to get hired. I am obviously well qualified (some might say over-qualified) for this job and this should have been spotted right off the bat, instead I got lumped in with everyone else. My application should have been sped right through and eliminate the long wait. Make the other applicants who are marginal wait by the phone. I will have a talk to the person in charge of hiring and see if we cant straighten a few things out, steamline it. This will work better for everyone. I will see everyone on the streets, Im looking forward to it.

WOW!!!It's been awhile since I have been on here and I have to say I am appalled with this "NEWBREED" individual. I have never seen someone make such an arrogant a-- out of themselves like you have. You are gonna get a rude awakening when you start FTO, although I doubt you'll make it through the program, as I am sure the FTO's are waiting to knock that chip off your shoulder.
