Thanks for the help PPD and FOP. It means a lot.

From http://www.nwfpba.org :

We'd like to thank each and every person who attended the Unity Rally last night. We'd also like to thank the people who had to work last night or had prior family commitments that prevented them from coming who called to lend their support.

In one week this event went from an idea to an actuality. We had between 320-340 people show up. We would like to thank Springhill Suites for providing the wonderful facilities and helping a bunch of rookies get a banquet hall ready. We'd also like to thank Domino's Pizza for cooking so many pizzas so fast.

The theme for the night was Unity (How'd you guess?). We think every one there can attest that the message from the PBA last night was that the days of having to support or not support any candidate out of fear of retribution (real or perceived) are over. There are people today who are still "on the outs" from several elections back all for exercising their constitutional rights which we risk our lives protecting every day. It can't be tolerated anymore. We are all brothers and just because we disagree on who should or should not be Sheriff doesn't change that.

The NWFPBA, representing over 660 local area law enforcement officers, officially endorsed Larry Scapecchi as their chosen candidate for Sheriff. The Florida PBA (with a membership of over 36,000) made the same endorsement.

In another show of unity the Local District 1 and the Florida Fraternal Order of Police (with a membership of over 22,000) made their endorsements at the rally as well. Robert Bell and Steve Mccann made the announcement. They also endorsed Larry Scapecchi as their chosen candidate for Sheriff. We would like to thank our FOP brothers for working together with us.

We are off to a great start. Thanks Again!

Stay Together and Stay Safe
