View Full Version : available jobs???
just checking if their might be any available job postings for your agency...
Goto http://www.ocso.com and check the website. I think there is a freeze on hiring until the new Sheriff is elected and takes office but not positive
OCSO is definitely hiring, and still seem to be sponsoring.
i'm currently corrections certified and have worked in booking for 4 years for a diffrent agency and wondering will ocso sponsor people for crossover ? who would be the best person to contact?

if you have no experience at anything....your a shoe in
IS THERE A HIRING FREEZE IN YOUR S.O.? ARE THE STILL SPONSORING IN YOUR DEPT?
Can anyone forecast the direction the agency is going to go with the new leadership? I am very interested in becoming a part of the team. From what I can tell the last Sheriff was "PRO Police" . From reading the board Deputies say that the pay will get better ??? I can honestly say that pay is important but not the deciding factor. Any input on this is welcomed.
Nobody is sure how the new Sheriff is going to be. I would advise waiting until Demmings has been in office for at least 6 months before you make the jump.
Hey i appreciate the response and that makes all the sense in the world, can never really tell until the new person gets his feet wet. ... overall is the department a good place to work? dont like politics or cowards , even though i know thats part of the beast.!!!
Overall, it is a very good place to work. The pay, however, sucks.
If you need to attend the Police Acad. and get sponsored are you a full time employee (Non-Certified) with benefits or are you just sponsored by the agency with no pay or benefits? Thank you for your help
Hey it could be worse...you could be working at Orlando PD!

Yeah getting 10 grand more a year and having a better retirement than you really sucks!
