Freeze? Still?

Anyone know when the hiring freeze is going to get lifted?

If you havent noticed, we cant help you. Most of us dont even know what schools we will be working at come this Monday. Your best bet is to visit the website and call PH in HR. We have to hire soon, but it is not going to be before school starts, expect something mid fall.

No money for raises for anyone or to hire cops, but look at the 8/13 & 8/20 personnel agendas and Art somehow has the money to hire people from the outside for administrative positions at the DAC. Even when the freeze is lifted, we had no one in the pipeline as of last month. PBSO has gobbled up cities where we hired a lot of officers from, and could take more. Do you think anyone from Boca, Jupiter, WPB, or any of the island mansion cities is going to come over. What's left still has to pass our rigid standards (that's not a complaint- I'm glad they are rigid). Are they going to give up take-homes to come to a dept that probably will not get a raise, and looking four months down the line when the District will probably have to cut another $23 million. Hopefully this election will remove some of the rubber-stampers from the Board.

How about us being PBSO? Does the Chief actually think what we have now is a good thing? Down 20 officers, and has nothing to offer his guys and girls. Can't wait to be feed a load of BS at our meeting Friday. If the Chief cared he would do something, instead of always doing nothing.
