How many firearms have to be stolen in patrol vehicles before command staff realizes that a criminal being able to look right inside and see everything you have is ridiculous. By having tinted windows will definately help when they can't see that nice Bushmaster,Colt rifles in plain view with a magazine inserted, and laptop computers. For being in law enforcement, sometimes you get what happens to you except command staff will have to live with the burden when someone is seriously injured or worse with a issued gun that was stolen. But on the bright side, you will be seen like an idiout wearing your straw hat and goatee!

According to the new G.O. you can not leave you computer in you vehicle after your shift. You have to bring it in and secure it everynight. Go ahead a leave the rifle in the car but make sure the computer is secured in your residence. :devil:

Better yet, take some responsibility for your issued gear and take the valuable stuff inside. You wouldn't leave it in your car if it belonged to you, would you. Stop trying to twist an issue to your personal advantage. :twisted:

Maybe it will help the cause that the Texas Rangers have tinted windows and most other L/E agencies in alamo country.
