Commission to meet in two weeks to finalize contract details.
Sheriff's dept to meet with rank and file, and PD admin to finalize deployments.

One good thing about the merger is that it will weed out the idiots that work here and PBSO will not hire them with the reason, they don't meet our hiring criteria. Nice job, lets see who gets bounced. :snicker:

Hate to rain on your parade but not all that much is going to change. Almost all the personnel will stay in place unless someone retires. You'll be wearing green. You're going to 11.5 hour shifts, you'll have too many channels on your radio to keep track of. You're getting more paperwork, not less. Most importantly, although you took it on the chin and took a pay cut, you probably won't feel it. Your take home (net) pay will probably go up b/c of reduced deductions.

Just a word of caution, that Sgt or Lt you are MFing today, will probably still be there tomorrow.
