Information on the _________ who Murdered Off Widman

FORT MYERS, Fla. - WINK News has learned the man accused of killing Fort Myers Police Officer Andy Wildman was ordered to be deported from the United States. It is a story you first saw on First on WINKNews.com.

The Fort Myers Police Department is telling WINK News according to thier information Abel Arango was ordered to be deported from the United States.

It is not clear from the information the WINK News has obtained if Arango was actaully deported and then re-entered the United States, or if Arango was never deported.

Arango was a Cuban native. He entered the United States in Miami. Arango was given a "refugee status" in 1991. Nine years later, in 2000, he was ordered to be deported after being convicted of an Aggravated Felony. He appealed his deportation ruling, but the appeal was denied in 2001 and his Order of Deportation was reinstated at that time.

From the information that WINK News received, Arango was released from the Kron Detention Center in Miami in July of 2004.

It is unclear at this time if Arango was deported, and then re-entered the United States. Arango could have been in ICE custody from 2000 until 2004.

WINK News has also learned that Arango is a documented gang member by the Collier County Sheriff's Office.

Arango's adult criminal history is very extensive including 20 felony charges and two misdemeanor charges. Some of those charges include:

This Scum was on House Arrest. He then got arrested for 2 Counts of Poss of Cocaine, 2 Counts of Sell of Cocaine and 1 Count of Trafficking of Cocaine.

He was also charged on a Violation of Probation/House Arrest, Warrarntless Arrest and allowed to bond out of Jail.

Why was he allowed to bond out of Jail? He was already on House Arrest and violated it.

Then after he bonded out a warrant was issued for him. I understand that once he bonds out he is going to be hard to find when a warrant is issued. My issue is that he should have never been allowed to have bonded out.

The Collier County VOP proceeding does not apply to the person who killed the officer. That person is somebody else who used Arango as an alias name. That person is actually still in the custody of the Collier County Jail.
