TPD Gets additional 800K for take home cars

TPD's fuel budget is projected to top 4 million. Despite the fact that only 261 out of 985 officer's actually live in Tampa, city council is expected to approve an additional $800,000 to keep the take home car program for their officers. Not to be outdone, USF gets new tile, toilets, and lockers in their locker rooms.

It's all relative...I seen on the news some months ago, and I don't have exact figures...,but USF had about Triple or more for a budget then the City of Tampa, including , - a 26 million dollar loss...somwhere.

Out of this budget the City Police funded their officers on a 60 million dollar budget. If I'm not mistaken, the USF PD, is about 4-5 million.

This includes a lot of new student housing, millions from funding for the football team, and many more millions funded for research! No funding for a growing USF comunity and the PD needed to protect all of that? BS!
