The City of Deltona, led by their 29 year old mayor, is hell bent on replacing the contract services provided by the Volusia County Sheriff's Office. Instead, the mayor and his 4 hand-picked commission members have said that they would not listen to the overwhelming public angst toward spending more money that the city does not have..they're moving forward anyway.

He would not say to whom he owes his allegiance, since the standing-room only crowd was in favor of keeping the sheriff's office.
