Look, we are police officers, most in uniform patrol, not players. Unless, one is assigned to a unit whose functions benefit from a "detective's" altering his facial appearance, the rest of us must project a para-military image -- period! It is, what it is!

Goatees look like a vagina on your chin.

Hey stupid, Told you on the Miami board. The US Supreme ruled in 1981 that police depts can set any grooming standard they want. Now why don't you quit and go to one of those "progressive" Depts. San Francisco allows goatees, bet you would fit right in there.

Quit complaining and shave your face! Why would you want to look, dress, act, and groom yourself like one of those punks that we arrest on a daily basis?

Just don't make a "sacraficial goatee" or "scapegoatee" out of anyone who wears one. :snicker:

So what’s wrong with that ! I would not mind that...

But the Brown Gown Man is correct if you are in uniform the traditional look should stay. If it means that much to Young Bolds think about going to a department that allows the Mountain Men look

I used to think what's the big deal, as long as your beard was neatly trimmed, etc. But now that I have seen cops on T.V. with goatees and beards, I have changed my mind. It just doesn't look right.
And just for the record, SFPD does NOT allow beards. The Sheriff's Department does but not PD. But they are getting a "progressive Chief" Gascon from Mesa PD. He actually was against Sheriff Joe Arpaio for arresting illegal aliens.

It looks unprofessional. I've seen cops in uniform with a beard looking like Santa Clause and it looks terrible. Not a good image.

Hialeah and Miami Beach has uniformed guys with beards. Once I saw a Hialeah officer with his uniform shirt all wrinkled and a beard that looked like a freaken bum. Very bad image.
