Chief has done alot!

You guys are not being fair to the Chief. He has done alot since he has been here. Here is a list:

Hired Arlington Sands as a support specialist, but can't hire a lt for afternoon patrol.
Tried to fire the two captains that scored the best on a union survey.
Stood by while they raped our budget and did nothing but give more cost cutting ideas.
Agreed that they get rid of 12 positions.
Put together a plan that would make us 10 month employees and take two months salary away.
Spent 70% of the depatment uniform allowance on SWAT.
Has refused to wear our uniform.
Did not speak up on our behalf during the last school board meeting.
Has made it a point of going hunting, having BBQs and tailgating with only a select few, while not even remembering the names of 95% of the department.
Perpetuated (big word) the divide between black and white officers.
Divider not a Uniter
Has not defended the officers, explained their salary struggles or the lack of manpower issues to the school board.
Has missed the last three command staff meetings in a row during one of the most turbulent times in department history.


And you people say he has not done anything since he has been here. Shame on you!

Soon we will have the "end of the year" gathering. I realize that it has been a challenging year. However, I truly hope that it is well attended as the Chief will have plenty of awards to give out and words of encouragement for the troops during these lean times. We need to put Nortwestern, Edison, Layoffs and talk of the 10 month plan behind us and help the Chief lead this department.

Hopefully by this time next year we will have added an additional floor on to the 6100 building and we will have a real Headquarters Building. I know that many of you guys are focused on the past but at the end of the year gathering keep your comments on the positive side and look toward the future with the optimism that me and the chief have.

As your next assiatant chief, i expect each of you at the meeting. We need to make sure we support the chief during this hard times. together we need to make sure he gets vested and can leave with second pention. I am on his side now. please be to.

Breaking news, the bad news Darling is still around, but the palace is crumbling down. The good news the Sergeant exam just became easier for everyone of us, thanks to Clyde Montgamary, Eugene Williams and Sean Horn. They filed a Federal EEO against the department testing procedures on the past Sergeant exam (cus dey cant pass), and the ruling came back that a study guide must be provided before testing. I was able to gain a copy, and post for everyone to have a fair shot.
