Broward County: $114,000 to help market county to European tourists

Broward County is set to spend $114,000 to market the area to European tourists this year.

County commissioners recently signed a new agreement with the marketing firm Ignite Sales and Marketing Limited for the work. The company will market Broward as a tourist destination in Great Britain, Ireland, South Africa and Scandinavian nations.

More than 180,000 people from Britain visited Broward last year, while 230,000 people came here from Scandinavia. They are part of more than 10.6 million visitors last year.
