Could anyone with knowledge in this area assist me.
I am an individual who have an interest in corrections, but I don't want to waste my time.
Over ten years ago I had a case closed for petit theft/ccw (first and only arrest). The disposition of the case was adjudication witheld. I later sealed my record.
Since this time I have been granted a gun license by the state and I have become a productive member of our society (i.e.,working, attending school, mentoring juveniles).
My question to you is, "Although I have beeen arrested and charged with a misdemeanor in the past, would the state certify me to work corrections?"
Anyone with knowledge in this area, your answer to this question would certainly be appreciated.
