I did a little research with the web page below and here are some other salaries to peek your interest. These are maxed out employees in certain jobs with Miami-Dade County and how they compare with a Trooper with more than 20 years of service. This is their base salary not including overtime.

And we wonder why Miami is becoming a ghost town. What I'm told it is only going to get less!

We need to keep this kind of information in the media everyday until the next legislative session and email this kind of information to the legislators. Bill Smith needed to respond to the CZ with these facts when he states that were are lucky and happy to receive our 5% raise this year. It’s easy for CZ to sit in Tallahassee and be happy with his high salary. If CZ had to live in Miami his salary it would seem that high either.

My Mule "Jose" and me had a verry long talk in the side of the road today. I told him "Jose things are verry hard these day's I'm having to buy recap horse shoes for you now" Me and Jose both agreed, we love the Patrol but It's getting harder to make ends meet.

Jose's dream has been to join the Miami Dade Pd mounted patrol unit someday. Jose wants to take long walks in the beach and enjoy the sunsets.
I just hope he can pass the polygraph. Man I love my Mule "Jose"
