Bradenton officer to get honor

BRADENTON — Police Officer Timothy Smith will receive special recognition from the regional chapter of an international association for security professionals.

On May 22, at a luncheon at the Seminole Hard Rock & Casino in Tampa, the Florida West Coast Chapter of ASIS International will give Smith its Excellence in Performance Award.

Bradenton police gave an example of Smith's job performance: He approached a man who threatened to kill himself as he pressed a box cutter to his neck and had already wounded himself. Smith talked the man out of committing suicide and got him admitted to a hospital.

Good Job Tim, You make us proud in Zone 4. It says a lot to make it here for 20 years and you did it.

It seems like just yesterday that Smith and **** Hill, were beating confessions out of suspects while working in detectives. Do you get any kind of award for that? :shock:

How about using your car to go to ball practice out of town, trash it and then report it stolen. No that certainly demands a medal. They should review his entire file before making their picks.

Tim is a tough guy with the mouth ONLY, until you call him on something and challenge him...lets say in the weight room and he gives that little grin (in fear) and backs down like the little B.itch that he really is.
