According to the Tallahassee paper, the only raise in the budget is a 5% across the board raise for troopers. What's up with this? Telly or Al, is this correct?

It is true. They killed their retention plan pay bill that would have gave some troopers a raise of over $ 10,000 and gave that as a goodwill gesture I guess to them.

Some one tell me how this works....how does one law enforcement class get a raise and the others (in the same class) don't???? Is our legislators more f*&$#^ up than I really thought??? Or who's to blame for every LE class not getting a raise....

FHP seperated from the bargaining unit over a year ago, pay attention. We do a job completely different than yours and everyother state LEO. I think everyone deserves a raies every year, some years you get it, some you dont. The other post is correct that one year FDLE got a raise, and FHP did not. Its a cycle, just our turn this year I guess!
