How is morale in your area?

What morale?

This is by far the lowest I've seen it.

I never would have left the old Marine Patrol for FHP if they had paid better.....the best LE job by far....

Great job, bad pay! And, even better-no step/retention plan! So, eventually you will be in the negative on welfare working for the great sunshine state wearing a bullet resistent vest, gun & badge. Of course, unless you live in the panhandle, then this is the best thing since sliced bread.

Sinking fast with the ten gallon hats. Even more now that they are buying 2 for every SLEO. What a waste of money. Seems to be alot of wasteful spending going on in such a crunch time with the budget and all.

I agree, the FMP was the best job in the world. The only downfall was the $$$.

It is at an all time high!

If we could get rid of Joe A on the river crew it would be great. What a SOB.

Times are hard, I'm glad to have a job.

Do your time for the State then go to the SO or local dept to make a living wage.

I worked for FMP from 90-95. Then I went with PBSO. This was by far the best move I ever made. I still keep in touch with a few guys that I worked with at FMP. It makes me sad to hear what you guys are still getting paid. I came over with 4 or 5 guys at the same time & every one of us are making over $100k. FMP was absolutely the best job in the world but it's not going to pay your bills in this recession. kept my retirement too. Think about it if you can.

Yeah the FMP was the greatest job in the world. I cant believe that pay is still an issue with the state. I left a few years ago and I am making alot more money than I was after several years with the state and I am very happy in my job. At some point money becomes an issue no matter how great the job is. Long live the black and gray (FMP). I have alot of great memories. I do hope that state officers get the raises that they deserve. Stay safe.....

I agree, FMP was by far the best gig going, just couldn't stay for the pay.
