Details

Just thought I would post something about officers working details. More and more we are getting emails from our foxtrot units saying they are getting complaints from HOA's about officers not doing anything on their detail shift. We already lost Silver Shores and some other ones for those reasons. I have also heard silver falls is starting to get complaints as well for the same thing. We are going to lose our details if we keep this up. This job is too easy, and because of that some of you get complacaint when you work your detail. Try to stay visible to the public while you are working it. Perseption is everything to the public. If you are parked on the side of the road they will think you are keeping an eye on the community and the HOA will think you are runnig radar. Everyone wins. Also, its a good idea to pull a case number while you are there. Think about it, not only does it prove you were there but when you turn in your slip it shows that you were actually doing something while you were making 27 bucks an hour. Let's tighten it up, and not be lazy on our details. There are a lot of officers that depend on these jobs.

Anything else "Mr Savaiko" who gets paid by the Silverlakes HOA to call the detail cell phone everyday just to be a jerk and catch someone who will not answer tha phone?

wow if silverlakes is a hard detail, the hospital is off the charts with difficulty.

I say get rid of all the details, the extra people on the radio at night keep waking me up! :twisted:

well the ones that are really in need of money or living paycheck to paycheck are usually the slacks on the detail that dont do jack.....

Its time for a rate hike. By the time all the cuts are made we dont make jack. Other agencies are getting paid so much better. The nighclubs are good at their rate. The others should pay the same. Or at the least, the new details should have the higher rate. If we gotta grandfather the others fine. Think about it, we are working overtime. The detail is just about starting pay after the cities take.

Go ahead raise the detail rate, then see how many go away. The people paying for the details will go elsewhere Wackinhut $9.50hr. They are used to our low prices and if they spike they WILL GO AWAY!

LOL Wakenhut? You dont think they have already tried. They wont go to them. They have no authority. People want cops. They will pay what they need to to feel safe. Crime is out of control in this city. Wakenhut is a joke. A small hike is not gonna hurt anything. Most of these details are run by management companies that are collecting plenty of money. Especially those "gated ones". Why work for peanuts? Seriously whats the hourly rate for an hour of overtime on a new guy. Probably more than the detail rate. Why would the vendor argue with not getting paid a reasonable rate for working above and beyond our normal 40 hours a week +. We are not going to lose anyone. Look how many details we have. Miramar is a shit hole and people want us. Losing jobs is a poor excuse for not raising the money. Its like saying Lets lower the rate to get more jobs. Comon!
