The story is absolutely ridiculous. I worked with both Officers on the same shift for a couple of years. They were good guys, but they lost their way over time. I think it is pretty pathetic that they have to bring up religion as a reason they lost their jobs. They lost their jobs because they tried to scam the system and they lost. It's a pretty weak defense to say they lost their jobs because one is Jewish and the other is friends with him when we have a large proportion of Jewish Officers and Supervisors. I think they should have come up with a better excuse for their dismissals. What a joke.

I also think it is wrong for these two officers to bring up religion. I dont think they were discriminated against because of religion. I mean if someone in this department is being picked on for being Jewish, it would be Lance. He constintly is getting screwed here, but doesnt say anything, But then again, he is a Jewish kid from New York City (Queens or whatever county he is from) that likes country music and Nascar. I have no comment about the law suit. Just leave my Mets alone. Also it is not a county, its a Borough...If it is even spelled that way
