Any news on hiring new Officers or is it doom and gloom?

I heard that Haines City and Winter Haven PD are hiring. PCSO isn't doing much unless you want a jail tour..ha. :shock:

How about hiring more officers by using some of that surplus money the City has been holding back?

I agree why is it that all agencies aren't having hiring freeze? How about not filling some vacancies for non-sworn positions and service the community. Call Mayor Baker in St. Pete and ask him how he does it?Even if he is spending all that money making the city beautiful he isn't having a hiring freeze and still sponsoring in the academy.

PCSO is not requiring a jail "tour" for all applicants. That is a rumor, call PCSO human resources for a true answer.
