Detail Pay

Our Detail rate needs to be raised. It has been over 3 years since we have had an increase and with the expansion of Class III Gaming, call volumes will go up. Everyone knows that working a detail at SPD is no cake work, you are actually busier on detail then on the road.

With moral dwindling, we need our detail rate raised to $45.00 an hour, the department keeps 5 and we get 40. This will be a quick fix to boost morale.

THIS WILL COST THE DEPT NOTHING. IT ONLY COSTS THE VENDORS, THEY KNOW THEY NEED US AND THEY WILL PAY.

Re-re, the detail money is counted in your tax income at the end of the year and is taxable. If you do were to not claim it, that would be a federal crime. If you're saying that you work so many details that they take out extra %, then raise your withhold #, and they'll take out less.

Oh, and it's "sepArate" not "seperate." Pet peeve. And please, take CAPS LOCK off next time before you make such a brilliant post.
