Reserve Officer

I applied for a reserve officer position with DEP ,IeFed X completed application to DEP over 5 weeks ago.I am fl.certified.How long before I will hear anything,is no news good news?should I call.Thanks......

How many Reserve Officers does DEP have and do they work with other Officers or are they solo?I am talking about Fl.certificed Officers with 10 + years of exp.Do Reserves have arrest powers?

DEP reserves are fully sworn state officers, are equipped nearly identically as f/t and operate solo (after fto). They also can operate boats, atvs and other equipment after certification. I believe they even wear the exact same uniform as f/t but Im not sure.

5674, there process can take awhile. Also, they just had a mini academy in tally for 4 new reserves, so it is going to be awhile till they hire anymore. They usually hire a few, send them to tally fo 3-4 days, train and certify them in everything, and send them to their districts.
