If you are certified with previous LEO experience,
At what point do you get your take home?

After Pat Thomas?
After FTO?

Thanks

Regardless if you have prior experience or not, usually the first day you report to your assigned Field Office after the academy, you are assigned your take home car. You are allowed to drive it while in FT to meet up with your FTO and work for the day, using their equipment. Usually in the 2nd or 3rd phase you will be driving your own patrol car and the FTO rides with you. Be forewarned..... you will most likely get the oldest and most abused patrol car at first but rest assured, you will be in line for a new car soon after. Our cars go on the trade list at 80,000. No gurantee that you get a new car right away, there may actuallty be some out there with over 100K miles because they only 78 or 79 K when the trade list was compiled and that car was not eligible because it did not have over 80K miles.

1.) Do they tell you anything after the polygraph? "Your good to go" or "We need to review your results" Or do they say thanks, see you later and you go home and wait for weeks on end not knowing what their doing with your packet?

2.) If your certified do they let you start your FTO while waiting for school or do you have to wait for the "CVSA" school? How often is the CVSA class started?

Please no bashing just honest answers. Thanks in advance.

They don't tell you anything after the polygraph. No they don't let you start FTO while waiting for the in service class, however they do let you ride with officers in observation mode. The next CVSA class begins at the end of July.
