Whats gonna happen when we get sued for "not pursuing".

I can see your point about public safety and chasing during rush hour. What about 3 am on the interstate? Less of a risk of getting sued. Basically getting sued is part of being a law enforcement agency and until law is passed to cut BS lawsuits its gonna happen.

Same thing with the taser. I dont care if some shmuck is suing bc he rode the lighting. ITS A GREAT TOOL.

I think we should be given a little discretion during a "pursuit situation". I think we get punked out alot by dirtbags ! They should FEAR us ! On a serious note where I work the supervisors get all antsy in their pants if you key the radio up and your siren is on (whatever the reason) and that is sad. Hopefully there are some changes coming. OH YEAH this crap in policy that the " ramming or attempting to ram a patrol car " is not reason to chase a dirtbag..........whhhaaatever dude, i'm chasin 'em :twisted:

ANSWER IS NO, THEY CARRY CHOP STICKS SO THEY CAN 56(MEET) AT THE LOCAL BUFFET (ALL THEY CAN EAT).

what a negative NANCY! Our sgts carry them. BUT from what I hear just wait till june all those who like to run. I heard when the Colonel was in Ft Myers that the Pursuit policy is getting an overhaul. Thanks to GSP!

Oh and there will be a whole new Policy manual then too.
