AC in the Herald dogs EMS today in his article and just has to bring BPD into it. How we watched from the shore as a guy died in another case.

Old AC fails to tell the whole story of course. that it was 12 inches of water and the guy refused to come out and was out on drugs looking for some place to break into. And that he was taken alive from the water but did die several hours later at the hospital. Just facts AC does not tell the public and leds to public to a false preception of police.

In 2008 the people of Manatee County should stand up to this newspaper and not buy it and let there advertizers know they are not crediable and anti law enforcement.

I know for a fact that the Chief has even asked the Publisher to be fair and accurate but apparently we as citizens must act against this anti law enforcement bias that the Herald-Tribune newspaper has!!!!!!!!

Most of us citizens would agree with the original post---The Herald Tribune does have a bias against Law Enforcement in both Manatee and Sarasota County.

We should demand fair and accurate reporting and hold the Publisher personally accountable.

Little Ceasar (LT A.) needs to just join his brother Hill and leave...it is like he doesnt really work the road....he just works here for the securitys...and sits in his office yakking forever who will listen to him...he should have been out supervising his guys then none of this would have happen in the first place

I don't know what Lt. A's work ethics are, but seemingly you can't put all of the blame for those officers on the actions or laziness of a Lieutenant. The sgt should take a majority of the supervisory blame as they are on the road more often. Lt's in this department are more first level admin and do spend a majority of the time in the offices, with a few exceptions. Bottom line is, if you can't possibly find any other mate in Bradenton and last resort is sticking your manhood in a hooker, there's no level of supervision that is going to hold your hand 24/7.

Everyones knows he doesn't do his job but if the chief allows it, then that's where the problem lies.

Everyones knows he doesn't do his job but if the chief allows it, then that's where the problem lies. He's one of the last decent supervisors at BPD, dont be mad because he tells it like it is even if it hurts all the tender feelings of most of the current employees. Grow a pair and start being cops again!

Hey Daryl I know you did the last comment...your from the old school and no one wants that anymore...we want professionalism, and modern thinking Police Supervisors!!! Come on you know DA doesnt know how to use the internet, remember he's old school...Just kidding LT (that is if you really can use the internet)... Anyway BPD could use a little more "old school" and a whole lot less "'modern thinking" crybabies.
