How about we put some real energy and OUTRAGE into something important like the 177 fellow LEOs who lost their lives this year. Maybe we could put the gift basket drama aside and focus on the 66 officers/deputies who were murdered in cold blood during 2007.

Thanks to the Training Unit for their effort this year as they prepare us for battle and possibly an opportunity to save our own life.

Now back to this gem....Yeah,,thanks training guys....for doing your job...Also, thanks to the road cops who respond to the never-ending bull crap that our illustrious communication experts insist on entertaining and sending us to. Thanks to the detectives who follow up and close their cases. Thanks to the PSTs for lightening the work load of everyone. Thanks to the Americorps for doing the traffic control so the road cops don't have to....if this is getting old, so is the "thank you" to select groups who, by the way, volunteer for their assignments. Yes, the main core of our training guys do an outstanding job, but I doubt even they want your gratuitous praise. Especially when you exploit the deaths of some brave heroes in the process.

The original post made a good point. Shouldn't be a problem giving props to training for doing a good job. Your "Especially when you exploit the deaths of some brave heroes in the process" is way off base. You might want to go see someone over at Adler for your issues.
