I have noticed an opening in Court Services for a Deputy. As a new resident and prior LEO out of state, are these positions actually "open" or do retired SSO employees get the positions? Thank you.

Yes, we definately hire outsiders as baliffs, but we also hire insiders. We have a lot of retired cops from up north or retirees from the federal government.

Good luck a lot of good guys in there. They hire out of town cops retired or not. Good place to retire from pension,pay full LEO powers Mon-Fri weeekends and holidays off. Two courthouses in our county. North and South.
