Boy with gun at Riverview High School
Sheriff's officials have lifted the lockdown at Riverview High School and opened the campus back up, after a search for a boy who reportedly had a gun.
The boy was described by another student as having short hair, wearing a black shirt with skulls on it and boots.
The search for him started about 11:50 this morning, when a student reported seeing a gun in the boy's waistband.
According to the reporting student, the boy with the gun said he was "sick and tired of what's going on" and lifted up his shirt to show the gun.
The student who reported the incident said he did not know the boy who was carrying the gun.
About 20 deputies checked classrooms one at a time. They found no sign of the boy with the gun.
Deputies also checked surveillance video taken at the school and could not find a boy who matched the student's description.
Parents who arrive at the school are now being allowed to take their children home.
