Why is this an amusing thing? People getting promotions only shows the high caliber of staff. It's not like people are leaving to lessor jobs, they are on to bigger and better things.

According to the last one, that wasn't the only reason people are leaving. Too bad because agency is made of very experienced law enforcement officers who know their stuff.

And bye the way, does the phrase "throw you under the bus" mean anything to anyone?? There is no loyalty. People do what they have to do to get ahead and if it means your ass or someone elses they don't really care.

Well Herman ol boy, I have recently received some additional news. It seems that some promotional positions may be opening up. Now whaddaya think of that?

You know that in our Miami office something is up with that as well. Supposedly some promotional opportunities mayb e forced upon the office. The new administration appears to be cleaning house office by office. (I'm not even going to mention the Jacksonville mess).

You know you are making much more out of this than necessary. I really think that it's just that people keep the door open for opportunities. You can't blame them for that. More money is more money. There is not much room to move up the way the State system is set up so people have to go on to other places to better themselves. We lose good people because of that but that's how it goes. You can't expect people to stay based on their "love" of the job alone. If no money is there, and no other incentives are there, then what's the point?

Ok I see the writing on the wall now. The special task force duty. The upcoming extended leave of absence of a certain someone. BJ leaving. I feel bad for the remaining few who will be buried. Only 80% turnover rate, average stay is 18 months, but daddy is going to diverse the office so that it represents the population it serves, Miami-Dade County. A Greek super hero who speaks Spanish is coming aboard. Next agenda is to work on the AGG because they well not play daddy game and need replacing.

Honestly, there are issues in ANY office. That being said, Ft Laudedale staff are nice people who do a good job. Miami has their own problems. They just haven't been posting on here. Don't let a few fruitloops scare you away.
