We have an opportunity to place a sergeant anywhere we want in the department. Do we place the sergeant in patrol? Nope! How about a region? Nope! Maybe GIU? Nope!
We place the new sergeant in afternoon communications. Where they will be in charge of 1 dispatcher and where they will be bored out of their mind from about 6 p to 11p.
