Impeach the sheriff

Reading the Sept. 25 PNJ about the lawsuit stemming from the 2005 Valentine's dance, in which Addison Salter won his case, I can't see where Sheriff Ron McNesby was not found liable.

He is supposed to be liable for his deputies' actions isn't he? Also, what about that hunting trip he did up north with the defunct county administrator. I suppose he's not liable for that either.

Escambia County citizens should rise up and impeach him.

Maybe the Governor will remove him after Wisconsin in January.

If you will check the clerk of court website, you will find Mr. Gettys has issues with local law enforcement. Maybe he will make it through his probation.

It's still a fair idea. Impeachment would take the matter into the citizens hands where it will ultimately reside either way.

I have faith that Governor Crist will take the appropriate actions after the trials in Wisconsin. Save the taxpayers money on the impeachment vote until after we see what the Governor does to him after January. It may be too late to impeach him then. :cry: :cry: :cry:
