I sat here for 10 minutes trying to think of a positive story about Captain Dan. Can't think of a damned thing.

These are the terms I agreed to enforce. I guess it depends on my defination of "Slamming", and as I read it, it applies to accusations of criminal wrongdoing and alike. (I think that criticizing can be constructive as long as it's done right. I'm the new MOD here, and this is what I intend to enforce on this board. If Mod 1 doesnt agree, then he can find someone else. We've already spoken, so I don't think he will have a problem with doing things this way, especially only using initials, etc.

Messages (anonymous or not) accusing anyone (including political candidates) of wrong doing (and/or criminal accusations) without substantial proof or reference are subject to deletion. Mod 461 has my full support to enforce the Terms of Use as Mod 461 interprets them. When someone has a complaint, they are to go to Mod 461, if they disagree with Mod 461, then they will have the right to ask for a review by me. Now, as long as their are no Criminal Allegations made and People's Personal lives are left out you won't have to worry about me at all, unless someone asks for a review by me.

There is a BIG difference in bringing up issues about administrations and agencies that need to be addressed and slamming your brother and sister officers.

One thing to remember, there are may ways to say the same thing, it is the wise man, who chooses his words carefully so that he doesn't have to eat them.

Ok, here is my interpretation of slamming FOR THE RECORD

Don't bring up criminal allegations, or discuss someones personal life. That's it! As far as I am concerned, anything else goes.

Trust me, I've been around a while, and I know of and have heard of all of these allegations through the years. (Some I've even witnessed first hand) Some are very factual, and some are legends, but this is not the place to bring that stuff up, either anonymously or otherwise. If you have a problem with the "professionalism" of a supervisor or anyone else, or their ability to do their job, by all means, discuss and debate away. That's what I feel that this site can be good for. But when you start bringing up criminal allegations, and writing about someone's personal life, that's when the line is crossed, and I will have to delete those posts. Remember folks, this site is accessible to anyone...even the Miami Herald!!!

Just to clarify a few things. There are only 4 people that have access to IP Addresses. Those are Sysop/Chip, Admin1/Jim, Mod 2, and myself. Therefore, we are also the only 4 who can ban anybody. I do 99% of the bannings. There is no list of who has been banned and why. There is just an spot to type in the IP address to ban it.

Occasionally when we have continuing problems with someone, I will set up a separate area and move all their posts there. I keep these posts there until this person is no longer being a problem. This is done when someone has been banned and finds a way around it and continues to post in violation of the ban. This is the case with numerous posts that were in this thread. I removed them last night to a new private area because the person posting them has been banned.

Again, it was I who banned all those who were banned for violating the Terms of Use. In case some don't know it. Anyone who has been banned, can request to be unbanned. Each case is considered on it's own merits.
