If you are already Virginia Certified and are applying to the State Police do you have to attend the full academy? Also, does VSP offer take home cars and do you allow ride along? Any information is greatly appreciated.

Know matter how much training and certificates you hold, you will have to attend the entire academy in Richmond, VA and pass it to become a Trooper in Virginia. Yes, they have take home cars that can only be used for "Official Business".
