Just fyi. At last nights North Port Commission meeting the Commission directed staff to charter a bus to bring interested citizens to the Couinty Commission meeting next Monday to express North Port's strong concern with the proposal to close the South County "jail" (holding facility). The bus will leave from the front of North Port City Hall at 5:30 pm to go to the meeting. We think the closing will not only adversely affect North Port and Venice, but The City of Sarasota (and other agencies) as well. We encourage other cities to express your concerns as well. Thanks.
