Crime of the century finally solved

From the Miami Herald on 08/26:

A Hallandale Beach resident got a surprise when he received a call from Pembroke Pines police.

About 9:30 p.m. Aug. 9, he received a call from a Pembroke Pines officer at his home in the 1800 block of South Ocean Dr. The officer asked him if the decal was still on the license plate of his car.

He checked and it was gone.

The officer said the decal was now on the tag of a 1998 Nissan Altima that had been stopped in Pembroke Pines.

The man made out a stolen decal report and the woman driving the Altima was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.

The officer said the decal had been on the car for two weeks.


Wow you guys truly have nothing else better to do.

What is it you would have us do? Do you think this pos should be let off with a warning? Today it was just a decal, tommorow it will be the tag, down the road probably the entire car. That my friend is what's wrong with society nobody pays the price for their crimes anymore. That's why you have thugs out there breaking into cars and houses and much worse killing people. They got away with the minor things so they move on to the bigger things. Stealing is stealing and you should pay the price.

Oh and by the way we have alot of better things to do however we get numerous calls everyday from our fine residents of PP in ref to a raccoon in the backyard or a loose dog or someone out of state wants us to check their relatives house because they can't reach them on the phone. If we didn't respond to such idiodic calls yes we would have better things to do like catch the bad guys.

Please remember your silly post when you have something taken that belongs to you and you want us to catch the perp.

We have nothing better to do except handle all of SO's crap at S FL State Hospital. They ask for mutual aid there daily. Or maybe if FHP would get more than 3 Troopers for the county then we wouldn't have to handle all their crap on 27 and 75.
