Another soft Pines cop story:

Pembroke Pines police arrested a man after he allegedly punched an officer in a parking lot.

Police say Aaron Steffler, 26, was approached by an officer in the parking lot at 188 N. University Dr. They exchanged words before he punched the officer, knocking the officer to the ground, according to a police press release.

Police said Steffler repeatedly punched the officer on the face and head until backup arrived.

The officer was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood and Steffler was taken to Memorial Hospital Pembroke. Neither man sustained life-threatening injuries.

Police said they expect to charge Steffler with battery on a law enforcement officer.

A police spokeswoman declined to identify the officer.

wow he beat up an officer and that's how he looked afterwards? No wonder criminals over in Pines have no respect for you guys. If that were to happen in our city that guy would have been unidentifiable. You guys are truly soft. I guess that's why they hire pretty boys in your city with "perfect" records. Great book smarts but not enough "street" smarts.

So what your telling me is your just as bad as the SCUMBAG in the picture???? Right, and you wonder why the public has such a negative view on us because of scumbags like you. Im sure this Mofo will be getting what he deserves while he sits the rest of his life in jail and takes it up the butt. When the fights on its ON but when its over its OVER.... Were not above the laws we uphold

You outsiders don't get it!

WE'RE LESBIANS!

Okay, I can't speak for any female officers, but we male officers are lesbians. As such, we're lovers, not fighters!

We're also cunning linguists!

That is way out of line......... The deputy is fighting for his life in a hospital bed.

Way out of line! There is no comparison to the situation in Pines with Aaron Steffler and the situation with the Deputy. The Pines "Officer" has been off the road for so long the only attention it needs is why she has been off the road and what the 911 tapes really reveal. She ended up with a broken nose for running her mouth.

A Deputy's life is on the line and we should be worried about him and his family.

you guys are being a total disgrace to whatever department your with and all of law enforcement. A cop was beaten almost to death, another was shot and left for dead fighting for his life right now, and another is dead. All this in less than 2 weeks. Instead of sitting at home behind the computer arguing over whose department has the bigger "EGO", why dont remember that the next time you respond to that 41-0 in progress it is possible for a BSO or Pines or Hollywood might be your 94

Amen, brother. Well said.

I think it shows that this is all petty and truly non-existent, as Pines sent 15+ officers to Dep Hernandez's scene, and an additional 15+ to Sgt. Reyka's scene, not to mention the amount of Pines cops giving blood along with all of the other agencies. When it counts, we will be there for all of our brothers, as we know you will be here for us.

Our prayers are with Sgt. Reyka's family and with Dep. Hernandez.

We here in pines honor this brave warrior who died honoring who he was, a warrior, marine, sgt of warrriors. from what ive learned this was a man who loved what he lived. He may have not been ready to take the battle to the enemy because we might never be ready, but the life we live is honor enough, we can ALL BE OUR SGT it just is the way it is.
SEMPER FI TO MY BROTHER

#1- I agree with you on being concerned about the Deputy and his family, along with Dep. Reyka and his family (not to even mention all of the other heroes who have been injured or killed while on duty).
#2- You @$$hole p.o.s. You were not even on scene prior to the tapes. When a radical Muslim claims all of the heroes on 9/11 deserved to die and the next attack will be ten times worse (AMONGST OTHER SIMILAR RADICAL STATEMENTS) and then attempted to go cause a 22 with unknowing citizens, any REAL officer (regardless of the fact as to why that officer has been on light duty and still is) would do whatever is possible to keep that person "distracted and away from innocent citizens" while awaiting units, who are armed, to show up and take care of the person. The injuries were more than a broken nose, how about brain swelling/bleeding, etc... By the way M.W., that officer appreciated you calling her while she was in the hospital and telling her to quit with the drama, that her big mouth put her in the hospital and she got what she deserved. Now THAT is a true brother in blue. NOT!!!!!! You just showed your real colors and blue is not one of them.

OKAY, OKAY SCREEL. WE CAN ALL FIGURE OUT THAT YOU ARE "COP'S COP" DEFENDING YOURSELF ON HERE.

"COP'S COP" IS AN IRONIC USERNAME IF IT IS YOU SCREEL.

IF ANYONE SHOULD 'MAN UP' IT IS THE PERSON THAT HAS BEEN OFF THE ROAD FOR SO LONG. NO ONE SHOULD MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK BUT PEOPLE SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR THEIR ACTIONS. QUIT WHILE YOU ARE AHEAD.

SCREEL'S PERSONAL LIFE WITH 'M.W.' HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT KIND OF A COP, OR BROTHER IN BLUE HE IS. THAT IS AN ISSUE OUTSIDE OF WORK AND THE UNIFORM.

what was the real cause for the intial stop / and is she back on the road :?:

Some things are better left unsaid or left alone this is one of them, if you don't know her personnally or know someone who does leave it off this forum. For all of our good.
