After much thought, I have come up with an idea to raise funds for Police Department and save plenty of jobs...
First, Let's raise the fee for a false alarm in the City of Tampa to $1000.00 each alarm after the first 2 responses because you "forgot" to shut off the alarm or "one of my employees hit the button" or punched in the wrong code.
second, We can bill every call a set amount of money based on the priority code assigned to that call....ex...someone calls in and demands an officer for an in progress call and when we get there, its nothing and the caller only said "man with gun or ???" just to get the police there faster.
Forget about charging for crashes and stuff, the fire department already took a beating on that idea.
lastly, Let's install pay toilets and pay phones in 411. I'm sure every officer and civilian would gladly help out with this because we all need to wee or make a call. There are other ideas popping up in my head but I gotta go take my medicine.
