Excellent idea!!!! Having an Associates degree should be a minimum. Nobody has any excuse for not having an Associates degree:
1. with all the online programs out there and
2. by the time you apply for sergeant, you should have this done.

Unless Dunk's son wants to take the test, then we'll waive the requirement until after he passes!!!

How many promotions do you think we'll have in the next year??? Since it's an election year, my guess is that we won't be having many promotions. Your thoughts???

Good question. I think that a lot of depends on:
1. budget
2. retirements
3. agency growth (refer to #1 above)
4. politics (who you know)

What if you dont see eye to eye with your supervisor or bureau commander. That dosnt make you a bad candidate. This is an absolute BS requirment. Why do you need their endorsment.

Let's create another f-cking form where the supervisor and bureau commander just "check off" on a box that says the employee hasn't had any level 3, 4 or 5 violations in the last two years. That would be better instead of requiring an endorsement. What the f-ck is an endorsement??? A glowing memo????

anyone check the datesfor the test and the review

anyone check the dates for the test and the review
Yep Yep Yep, it's all in the memo. You read it, didn't you????? The test is on Saturday September 8th and the review is a week later on Saturday September 15. You read the memo and you didn't see that???? When you read the general orders, they're gonna stick like glue in your head, right????

The first promotion is the hardest, but after you get promoted to sergeant, the other promotions are pretty easy, but getting that first promotion is the hardest part of the process because all 40 candidates can't fit through the promotional pinhole.

If you meet the requirements then take the test we need good folks taking it!

Gotta love the Administration of this agency boasting about the requirements, they half of them don't meet. Like Dunklee's lack of a degree.

That's why he sounds like he does!
