MIAMI (AP) -- Fatal shootings at a high school graduation party were motivated by robbery, not gang retaliation, police said.

Authorities were still searching Tuesday for four suspects who went to the party early Sunday with white bandannas covering their faces and then opened fire. Two people were killed, and five others were injured.

Police initially reported that the shootings at the Polish American Hall were gang related.

No security was present at the party for 300 people. The woman who rented the hall to celebrate her daughter's graduation had hired four Miami police officers to provide security, but the off-duty detail was canceled when only one officer volunteered.

Bill Schwartz has always been a gentleman and has NEVER hurt anybody in the Department.
That is something that cannot be said of most MPD staff members who will step over their own mothers in order to shaft some hapless officer.
