Anyone hear the latest on promotions?

Promotions will start again in July. No mention on numbers but rumor only has it at 2 lieutenants and 5 sergeants to start with. Take goodness for the Sheriff doing this because the PBA has not wanted to help at all concerning this. Shows none of the PBA do boys were on the list. Unlike last time when the promoted from the bottom of the list for their boys.

There will be NO promotions untill at least after October with the new budget year. All openings will remain open AT LEAST until after then. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but just be patient and it will come.

The last thing we need is more people to stand around and not work. Change the span of control to 15/20 to 1. Who cares what the nationwide standard is. It would be different if supervisors worked.

That's why they're called "Supervisors" They watch us work.

Another Deputy assuming that just because people don't do his job (handle calls), then they don't do any job. Learn your current role. Sgt's do more work behind the scenes than you are aware of. Just because you don't see them taking your paper calls does not mean they don't work. Yes, there are certain privilidges that come with rank, and the more rank you obtain,the more privilidges you are entitled to. But don't make statements to which you have no knowledge about.

Many will be promoted to the front of the unemployment line after the tax cuts. The tax cuts WILL be approved, since average Joe's only care about saving $$$.

There will be no lay offs and plenty of promotions. If you cared enough you would have attended the county budget meeting. The only commissioner who doesn't care about us is McCarthy all the rest want to give us the more money. Don't worry about a thing, we have plenty of money. It's all a game.

I guess there won't be but one or two lieutenants promoted after all. Shame. Especially after all that mess we went through this time.
