Another sad day for LPD

05/25/07 was another sad day for LPD due to the promotion held on that date. Not because the promoted person was female, or black, but because she is just as unqualified as the last one promoted. Given proper experience and training these two persons may have made fine supervisors, but due to the rush to prove that experience has no value, these persons have been elevated to dangerous levels far too soon. There are numerous males, females, black, white or any other combination of experienced, hard working officers who would make excellent supervisors. But they will never get their opportunity, and as a result street officers and citizens will suffer. LPD is not for sale, it is being given away.

what she have, about 1 year, or less, of street experience before she moved into Dare, etc....thats a real training environment.....

Just reading yuor post. Are these people ranked on a list? And if so are there any qualified people on that list. And are there any on the list that are just like the first two that got promoted?

NO MORE ON THAT LIST LIKE THOSE TWO. THEY ARE THE TWO WORST CANDIDATES ON THAT LIST.
ALL OF THE OTHERS WILL MAKE GOOD SUPERVISORS SOMEDAY.
VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE ANYONE?

IT'S NOT TO HARD TO BE AT THE TOP OF THE PROMOTION LIST, WHEN YOU HAVE THE TEST TO STUDY WELL IN ADVANCE OF THE TESTING.

WHY NOT CALL THE LAKELAND LEDGER, NAACP, AND HAVE STAFF RETURN FROM VACATION AND WEAR CLASS "A" UNIFORMS, TO BE PRESENT AT THE CERAMONY. FOR GOD'S SAKE THINK ABOUT SHE WAS THE "FIRST BLACK FEMALE" TO BE PROMOTED !!!

I WONDER IF WE CAN NOW GO DO OUR SHOPPING WHILE UNDER HER COMMAND DURING OUR SHIFT, WITHOUT HAVING TO GO TO THE THIRD FLOOR.
