Court Deputy Position.

Just wondering, is the Court Deputy position a good job. Do I stand a chance at getting hired with all the talk of budget cuts? Thanks in advance!

Florida isn't sure if its going to have a budget crisis or not. Yes, we still need court deputies, but due to the statewide budget crisis, I'm not sure if we'll be hiring anybody. I predict that the legislators won't be able to agree on anything and it will all fizzle out. We definately need to fix the tax inequities, but nobody knows how to do it without hurting public safety. SPD is talking about laying off 100 employees (some sworn and some civilians) and SSO is also talking about laying off 100 employees (some sworn and some civilian). What a mess.

It's funny how whatever part of the U.S. were from the legislators always seem to look to Law Enforcement when it's budget cut time.
