Since the state saw fit to spend 60 million on a new baseball stadium and 90 million on anti-smoking ads and really give it to the state employess, we have come up with a new sticker for the patrol cars

"Dont Smoke and Play More Baseball"

Our job is obviously not important guys!! So why go out there and break your ass working hard? Stop writing 50 tickets a week, stop running call to call to call and going home with paperwork to finish. Just take your calls and take your time. Maybe write a ticket if someone runs you off the road, but otherwise dont kill yourself! It is simply not worth it.

Getting troopers to commit to a specific action is like herding cats...it won't happen. Those that cringed when they learned that the rookies brought the PBA back in...well, you're screwed too.

Rookies, believe everything the Colonel tells you. He's the Colonel and he will never lead you down a path that is not in your best interest. If you believe THAT, then you may not be stupid, but you ARE incredibly uninformed! He's management and management's job is to get the most work out of you for the least amount of pay. The Colonel is doing his job at the sacrifice of those below him.

You may as well suck it up and get out there and write a bunch of chicken $hit tickets to keep the stats up. Do not work the intersections where people are running red lights and killing each other...that's too hard. Go out on the long straight stretches where there hasn't been a wreck in 20 years and get those 6 mph over tickets that make little impact on safety. Make sure you give everyone you stop at least two or maybe even three tickets! That makes for excellent public relations...
Troopers are their own worst enemies....they keep shooting themselves in the foot by getting rid of the only union that actually cared about them and had a true stake in the outcomes! They believe everything negative that they hear, with NO investigation or research for the truth at all! They'll sell their soul for pizza! It's incredible!
Idiots. They are getting what they deserve from the PBA...nothing. (Remember, the PBA's Al Shoppe promised that to FHP in 2000!)

Didn't IUPA get us less than the PBA got the other state guys last year ?

Maybe if we still had IUPA we would have got a 500 bonust instead of a 1000 bonus ?
