This board was intended for NPPD LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS not the public. Ever since Georgie posted this site in the paper, most all postings are from nosey citizens. So go ahead and ask all the questions you want, your just gonna have another uninformed citizen answer them for you because there wont be anymore LEO'S on here.

Since this board is open to the public we kind of have to deal with it. I can only hope that the nasty posts are coming from disgruntled citizens that just do not like the police and not within. We all know that they are there and they live a miserable life so let them be, they will have to deal with us eventually.

Yes, and along with their apparent love for the local citizens that provide them with a job ......they certainly display their appreciation for the fact that citizens, and their ever growing tax liability, will be the ones to pay for their infamous pay raise....this message board certainly reveals their level of arrogance. :x No wonder they want all to themselves.....

Definition of a "Nosey" citizen: someone that wants to be informed about NPPD.....how dare they want to do that.....they are just citizens. What goes on at NPPD is for NPPD to know and no one else.

Hey Daisy, when you put your bullet proof vest on every morning or night to go to work and kiss your family goodbye, maybe for the last time, maybe you're right, how dare we ask for a pay raise! We can change this forum to DaisyDuke.com and hope that someday you can be in our shoes and experience what we go through.

A lot of officers and deputies put their vests on and kiss their families goodbye everyday and don't ever expect to be working for the highest paid agency from Tampa to Naples..................why is NPPD more deserving than the rest????

well its pretty safe down here in north port we have a lot less call volume then sso or mso and even spd.

Well Daisy Duke once again has shown ignorance! We are not looking to be the highest paid. We want to be paid just like every other agency. Right now we are below the average pay for Police Officers and it needs to be fixed. If it is not, the City will only suffer. Look at Bradenton for example, the lowest paid agency in the area and it is a dump. They cannot get qualified applicants and they have strife in the agency. Enough said. As far as MOD352 goes, he is doing a good job, this agency does not need the negative crap you display here.

NPPD pay is already more than most of the agencies around them....NPPD is not the lowest paid....and they shouldn't be the lowest paid....but they shouldn't be the highest paid either.....I guess the theory is to shoot for the stars and hope for the moon. I hope you get the moon not the stars ....the city can't afford stars......

in regards to NPPD salaries: you get what you pay for. with lower salaries as compared with surrounding agencies, where do you see your city in 5, 10, 20 years?

They are not lower than surrounding agenices and that is the point. I see the city bankrupt in the future due to poor fiscal management. The county can take over then. Then there would be enough money to pay leos more.

That is kind of funny since SSO has to cut 10 million from their budget. Either you do not read the newspapers or you really don't work for SSO. Nice try though.

Nope....not likely....although there is enough waste in every agency that could be cleaned up....it won't be....the waste never gets cut only the little guys. Ley is only worried about the tax reform and trying to make it all fit at the end of the day. Is it realistic to cut $10 mil from the SSO budget with crime on the increase and a population expansion forever on our horizon..?......think not.
