What a great way to get the best recruits the state! Someone suggest to Sarasota Herald Tribune that they list salaries of sworn personnel. FYI, FDLE and some federal agencies compile data on local salaries as a measure of effectiveness in combatting crime.

Manatee County Sheriff's 2006 budget = $97,564,308.00 (that's 97 million.) MSO means a great paycheck!!!!! :lol:
